Many school children have learning difficulties and don't realize it
If you recognize in your child some of the characteristics and/or behaviors listed, your child may be struggling in school or social settings due to a learning disability.
It's not easy to recognize a possible relationship between these behaviors and therefore not easy to see how they may be adjusted. And until they are identified, parents often feel helpless, frustrated, and sometimes frightened by what they don't know.
Recognizing and identifying learning difficulties in children is the first, and probably the most important, step in helping each one of them to succeed.
Children who attend he Gateway School of Lehigh Valley know what it is to be successful. Students at Gateway range from from grade levels 7 through 12 and are of average or above average intelligence who need more than what their public school can offer. Gateway students receive one-on-one attention from faculty members who are specialists—trained and qualified specifically in the field. Gateway graduates have gone on to college, successfully completed trade school, secured jobs and pursued careers throughout the country.
